When we first moved up to the area, we had difficulty finding a quality groomer who understood how to clip and care for our two Pekingese, Onion & Garlic. We went everywhere - Bancroft, Barry’s Bay …. even Pembroke for several months! Once we got a referral to Cedar Bark Lodge, all our groom-related stresses disappeared. Onion and Garlic actually love coming to the Lodge; Dea treats them like her own, keeps detailed notes from each groom (so we do not have to mention the same thing every time), and consistently gives them amazing cuts. The fact that she grooms both dogs at the same time (they are brothers from the same litter, and have never been apart) reduces their stress, which makes for happier dogs at the end of the process. Also, Dea asks the right questions and always checks with us before making any changes. If you are lucky enough to have your dog groomed or boarded at Cedar Bark Lodge, please know that you and your furry companion (presumably dog, not spouse) will be taken care of by skilled and compassionate hands!
